Hello!
I'm Dr. Lisa Carlton, PT, DPT, DSc. After 18 years of practicing physical therapy, specializing in Torticollis and Flat Head Syndrome, I felt the frustration of so many families who were having difficulty getting to the PT solutions they needed for their child. I created Babies, Necks, and Noggins for You, The Parents, so that all parents can have access to expert care for Torticollis and Flat Head Syndrome. You shouldn't have to wait for the quality care you need for your child. I also want to educate every parent on how you can play with your baby in ways that will help them to develop their gross motor skills right on time.
My Story
I graduated with a clinical doctorate in physical therapy in 2007 from Loma Linda University School of Allied Health Professions, Department of Physical Therapy. I began working in Pediatric Physical Therapy at Loma Linda Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, where I quickly found my passion for treating babies with Torticollis and Plagiocephaly. I then began working with LLU's Craniofacial Team in 2009, performing screenings and management of Torticollis and Plagiocephaly patients. I have lectured annually since 2010 for LLU's DPT Pediatrics class on Torticollis, Plagiocephaly, and Brachial Plexis Injuries. I began researching Torticollis and Plagiocephaly for my post-graduate DSc research dissertation in 2013, and published this dissertation in 2014, all while continuing to treat these patients in clinic full-time. I took time out to have a family in 2019 and 2021, but was able to continue with research and publish my research article in 2025.
